BUFA Certification and European Diploma
BUFA students sit - according to the BUFA examination regulations - for their
examinations and receive the European Diploma at the same time after passing
the BUFA Certification. This certifies that the BUFA Diploma course corresponds
to the Category 1, fixed by the Joint Education Committee (Common Education
Committee of INTEROR and ISPO). The degree is equivalent to the BSc. degree
at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow).
Master examination
Furthermore, graduates of BUFA can sit for the German Meister Exams at the
Chamber of Trade Dortmund or in another city, which has established an O&P
examination committee.
University studies
The BUFA course is part of the main studies and it is an integrated component
of the curriculum for Engineers in Orthopaedic and Rehabilitation Technology
at the University of Applied Sciences in Giessen/Friedberg and Münster/Steinfurt.
