Information about the Supporting Society
of the BUFA
"Bundesfachschule für Orthopädie-
Technik e.V."
The supporting society of the BUFA was founded in 1970 as "Society for
the Promotion of the Federal Academy for Orthopaedic Technology e.V."
(since 1998 briefly: Federal Academy for Orthopaedic Technology e. V.) It
represents the link between craft, wholesale, industry and their common interests
and tasks of advanced professional education.
Members of the society are:
- Private firms and societies, which are members in
the Federal Guild of
Orthopaedic Technology.
- Private firms and societies, which supply Guild members
with materials and parts for
the manufacturing of orthopaedic devices
- Individuals, guilds, societies and organisations,
who are interested in the promotion
of the BUFA.
Only through the contribution and donations of this society it is possible
to keep up the BUFA, since the costs of the school cannot be covered by the
fees for the Diploma Course and the advanced training seminars alone.
The contribution of private firms is calculated according to the number of
employees and is at present annually:
0 - 5 employed persons = Euro 150.00
6 - 10 employed persons = Euro 220.00
11 - 15 employed persons = Euro 300.00
16 -.... employed persons = Euro 400.00
For individuals without business concern the contribution is at present =
Euro 100.00
For industrial companies = Euro 1,500.00 annually.
Contributions and donations are tax-deductible.
The BUFA will issue a certificate of donation.
